IT jobs recession / right test firing? Career advice pls?
Everyone needs a computer wiz right? I was thinking about changing my major in Graphic Design Journalism IT-b / c I like to write, but I also like creating things. I'm not really sure what I want to do: (I like many things (fashion, travel, communication of ideas, art, computers, cooking, video games, blogs, animals, outdoors, what it!) It sucks to try to reduce it all down. However, most IT PPL do not worry when we have economic problems. I'm not sure what career path take – in any case should go to the safe and enter it.
Understand this – there is no such thing as aa recession proof job. It is more stronger than it you can use your transferable skills in many workplaces in many types of applications. Having said that – we fired IT workers (mostly help desk and support). But I prefer to be one of them in a dismissal of a HR manager, because there are many IT jobs out there that most general office work.
