More info: www.digitaljournal.com Live blogging has taken off across the Web, giving journalists a chance to write about events in real-time. Will media have to adapt to this rising trend? Digital Journal TV investigates in an interview with the president of Cover it Live, a live blog leader. Digital Journal — To live blog or not to live blog, that is the question. For journalists of all stripes, it is a decision to consider seriously: covering events and offering commentary in real-time has become the activity du jour for enterprising publishers. DigitalJournal.com has tested the service from live blog trailblazer Cover it Live, whose software has been used by weather reporters, entertainment writers covering the Grammy Awards and comic-book nuts attending ComicCon. DigitalJournal.com tried out Cover it Live for the first US presidential debate, the US vice presidential debate, the Canadian federal leaders debate, and the second presidential debate in the United States. As impressive as the service was, we ran into some noticeable lag and reliability issues at first. To find out what the company doing to ensure quality in the future, we visited their head office in Toronto, Canada. Because live blogging is getting more popular every month, Digital Journal TV wanted to know what makes a live blog company tick and why Cover It Live has exploded in popularity. I’m a sophomore in high school, and I’ve been doing regular blogging for a guy who owns a professional blog for about a year now. There was no pay at the beginning, but a promise of a revenue share down the line–but with the economy the way it was ads were hard to come by and nothing worked out. Still, he wanted to show his appreciation and gave me a 0 Visa gift card. My parents think I should splurge on something nice for myself–I already have hundreds saved in the bank and about 0 on hand from birthdays etc–so my question is what should I use it for? I just bought some music recently, so that’s out. I’ve got a busy schedule and don’t really have time for video games, unless it was a really intriguing strategy game (especially political) that played on the Mac. Same with books–I just have no time. I’ve been thinking about getting a webcam, or just something to pamper me and make me feel in heaven–my mom said she would have gotten a massage with that money, what’s a good equivalent for a teenage guy?

www.trishjones.com Watch this video tutorial and see how simple it is to get online with a blog today! Create a blog using free software from wordpress.org and get tips on why, if you want to become a serious blogger, if you want to make money with your blog or, if you want to control your blog, then using free blogs such as blogger.com or wordpress.com is NOT an option … You must own your blog. Here’s why …if you use hosted solutions such as blogger.com or wordpress.com, they can delete your site without your permission and there is nothing you can do about it. Also, using hosted sites to host your blog means that you have limited opportunities of monetizing your blog because some of them don’t allow you to make the most of advertising with say Google AdSense. WordPress.com for example makes it very clear that it is against their terms of service to commercialize your WordPress.com hosted blog by hosting paid advertising and will result in your blog being deleted. In fact, I’ve just been reading one forum where there is a reader called “Rainmaker” and he seems to have made it his job to report people who are commercializing their WordPress blogs and within no time, their sites have been deleted by WordPress. So don’t say you haven’t been warned. What you need to do is go to WordPress.org and download their free software and then upload the software to the server where you have your own hosting account, using your own domain name. Alternatively, you can use the
